The designers of the World Championship courses took a a cue from the work of Salzburg’s most famous son. W.A. Mozart. Make it complex but beautiful. The time trial course will benefit no one and everyone with some climbs and a sharp decent into the finish.
I will still pull for the Z man over Michael Rogers but that is all heart talking.
Only the strong will survive 12 laps around the road course. It’s tough to know where everyone’s form falls at this late time of the year. I am discounting guys like Vino and Valverde who just finished laying it all out at the Vuelta. I don’t think their mind and body will recover. I’m looking for Paolo Bettini to shatter his own team and the win to go to Fabian Cancellara.
Either way, I will be glued to Cycling.tv.
