Today, the Wall Street Journal (subscription required) reported that Kai-Uwe Ricke stepped down from his post as CEO of Deutsche Telekom.

This is semi-significant in the sense that Rickie is a big reason T-Mobile did not abandon its sponsorship of professional cycling under all the heat that claimed teams such as Phonak and Comunidad Valenciana.

The one stalwart through the storm of Operation Puerto has now stepped down. T-Mobile should have enough momentum now to continue but is this something that should raise our level of concern?
