Brokeback Mountain star Jake Gyllenhaal is the latest star to play Lance Armstrong in the upcoming movie. I think conventional wisdom is Matt Damon is out. What about Matthew McConaughey? Sources say that Matthew is Lance’s first choice but the cigar crunching boys in Hollywood prefer Jake.
If that is the case, the below photo shows that Jake needs some serious bike time. He looks closer to playing an off-season Jan Ullrich than a 7 time tour champ.

Jake is a much better actor than Matthew McConaughey but still not right to play Lance Armstrong. Someone much younger is needed such as Chace Crawford. Also, don’t worry about a surprise ending for Lance winning the TDF in 2010, Alberto Contador is back with Astana and is way too strong for Lance.
